NEW ORLEANS -- Tsvika
Tsuk, chief archaeologist at the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, will give
two lectures on ancient near east archaeology at New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary Thursday, April 4.
The first lecture, “Gezer's
Ancient Water System: Is there water at the end of the tunnel?,” will begin at
2 p.m., followed by a second lecture,
"The Nature and Culture of Israel: The Promising Land," at 4
p.m. Both lectures will be presented in the Providence Learning Center
Conference Room in the William Carey Building on the NOBTS campus (3939
Gentilly Blvd.).
Tsuk, who co-directs
the Gezer Water System Project, is one of the foremost experts on ancient water
systems in Israel and has written extensively on the subject.
